EARTHQUAKE!!!

Today Kerrigan got to experience her first earthquake!  5.9 magnitude!  This is a fairly common occurance in Taiwan, but still a little scarey for Momma and Dadda several thousand miles away from her!   His Hands was very quick to let us know that all was ok and all the babies enjoyed the Rock and Roll of Mother Nature :)

The Paperchase!

We have made some progress this week on the paper chase!  It feels good to be able to do something while we wait!  This week we almost finished the picture portfolio---and YES Daddy even took some pictures of the house for this!!  WOW we will make him do paper work yet! :) 

We also got the marriage certificate ready! 

Dr Lutz signed the medicals for the court documents!  And everyone in the office and the bank (where the notary was done) wanted to see Kerrigan's picture!  Momma hated to do it, but I had to show her off!!  HA!  They all insist we bring her in to see them when we get her home! 

We sent the forms for reprocessing to Accurate Biometrics for our fingerprinting! And got our homestudy update started (just in case we need it)

Called to get our employer letters for court also!

Momma emailed and text---Trena, Gina and Kate tons of paperwork questions!  Thank you all for being patient with me!  My Momma hormones are going crazy this week and I feel like I could break down any minute (didn't think you were suppose to have hormonal issues when adopting, but I was WRONG!)   All I can think about is that sweet little girl of mine waiting for me to hold her!

Kerrigan's got her package!

Auntie Sara wrote and told us today that Kerrigan had received her package!!  We are very excited!  We packed that thing full of goodies and LOVE!   And now our little one has it!  I didn't realize how much sending the package meant to me until today when we found out she had it.  I felt like we had gotten to touch her!  She finally has something we've given her!  I can't wait to hold her and snuggle her in her new blankie!

Today Ava and Momma sent a care package to our little Cupcake!  Sweet Kerrigan!  Lots of clothes for her to wear---because a girl has to look good, a soft blankie, some toys, a picture of us (hope it doesn't scare her), and lots of hair bows for that amazing head of hair!!!

Cutest Babies in the World

The ministry that is caring for Kerrigan is so amazing!  The babies are loved and cared for until their forever family can come get them.  We will never be able to thank these wonderful people enough for the blessing they have helped us receive! Today we awoke to a cute picture of all the babies in the nursery posing for us in their blue jeans and teeshirts!  Thanks Auntie Ashleigh!  Kerrigan is the 3rd  baby from the left with the little smile on her face :)  what a cutie!!

Baby in the Inbox!!!

Today started like any other day!  Checking the email!  Nothing there so I hit refresh again and again!!!  Still NOTHING!  So off to the grocery store I went!  I stoppped at the gas station 2 miles from home to fill up!  The email alert on my phone rang, it said Admin: Adoption Referral.  I almost passed out!   OH MY!!!  First.....stop the gas pump---whew--glad I used my credit card, because I wouldn't have remembered to pay!  Then off to find Tim!  I knew he was at his parents this morning!!  Tim doesn't get email on his phone so I was the ONLY one who knew!!!   I didn't look at the picture though until I found Tim!!   The 15 minute drive to his parents was the LONGEST ever! I walked into Grandma and Grandpa Bogard's house where Tim was and shouted "ITS A GIRL"  Everyone was shocked and super excited!!!  Tim and I then scrolled to the bottom of the email and saw the most beautiful baby!!!!  She is just perfect!!!  Tears were flowing as Daddy  read the referral info!    We text the boys and then everyone else!!!  The phone calls and text started coming in!!  We are very blessed to have the support we do!  Momma put a teaser on facebook, but Ava didn't know yet so we couldn't tell about the referral yet! We waited as long as Momma could stand it and went to tell Ava at preschoool!!  We told Ava and all her friends in class that Ava is a big sister!!!!  Ava's little hand went to her mouth as she gasped!!  :)  All the kids gathered around and looked at the picture!!!  Thanks Miss Kelley and Miss Lezlie for letting us interrupt your class!!  What a special day for Ava! in case you wondered I never made it to the grocery store!! We are blessed beyond words to be able to be this little girls parents!  Thanks to God and to a brave birth Mother for a wonder gift!

God Moments!

I always think it is interesting in the world of adoption the God moments that pass and we don't even notice until after the fact! We got on the waiting list at His Hands in August 2010.  On Novemeber 16, 2010 we were given an official Application to fill out, I sent it back completed on November 17, 2010.   Paula reminded me the other day that Our LID with Ava was November 17, 2005!    Pretty amazing!!!
